Call of Duty Mobile 80s Action Hero Update Now Out: New Map, Mode, Scorestreaks, Weapons and More

Activision, the company behind the development of Call of Duty Mobile has rolled out a major update that brings pop culture from the ’80s. The company is hosting an event to celebrate the action heroes from the 1980s. According to the company, the event is called “80s Action Heroes” with the latest update the company has added two of the most popular heroes – Rambo and John McClane from popular movies. Call of Duty Mobile has received the new update which comes with an array of new features like a new multiplayer game mode, 80s Actions Heroes bundle, Battle Royale mode, and a lot more. Call of Duty Mobile New Update

“In a world where Season Three comes fully Reloaded, two incredible ’80s Action Heroes crash the party, ensuring the mid-season update for Call of Duty: Warzone, Black Ops Cold War, and Call of Duty: Mobile is an unmissable and explosive blockbuster!” reads the official blog post.

According to the company, the update brings John McClane from Die Hard film, a New York cop who arrives at a holiday party turned hostage situation. The second one is Rambo, a man double-crossed while on a clandestine mission and left to fight on his own in Rambo: First Blood Part II. Both the movie characters are added to the gameplay by the developers.

As mentioned above Call of Duty: Mobile is hosting the 80s Action Heroes event, which is slated to kick off with limited-time bundles and game modes. Additionally, the new update also comes with new weapons, maps, and other features. Do note that the 80s Action Heroes event will go live on May 20 and ends on June 2. Do note that it’s a two-week event, “Players will be able to transform into Rambo and John McClane in this new Multiplayer mode, allowing them to see what it’s like to become these iconic action heroes,” reads the blog.

Rambo

If you’re interested in 80s style action then you can opt for the 80s Actions Heroes bundle from the multiplayer game mode. You can also head to the in-game store to purchase the bundle and use it in Multiplayer modes and Battle Royale mode. According to the official forum, the bundle will include two finishing moves (one using his signature bow and arrow) three Legendary Weapon Blueprints—an assault rifle, an LMG and a Knife Blueprint; a Legendary Calling Card and Emblem; and an Epic Watch and Charm.

John McClane

John McClane is also available as a part of Die Hard Call of Duty: Mobile Bundle and will be up for grabs via the in-game store. The bundle includes the iconic character with three Epic Blueprints—two SMGs and one pistol—an Epic Frag Grenade, a Parachute, a Cargo Truck, an Avatar, a Calling Card, and a profile frame. Do note that both the bundles are available for sale until June 19th.

New Killstreak: Combat Bow

The update has added a new Killstreak straight from the 80s, the longer you pull the bow, the farther the explosive-tipped arrow will go. This will help you in taking down the hidden enemies in the bushes.

Ballistic Knife

The Ballistic Knife of Black Ops series fame has also arrived with the latest update. The knife will help you when you run out of bullets this versatile weapon will allow you to attack enemies closer to you.

Two New Multiplayer Maps

The developers have added two new multiplayer maps that include Standoff and Duga. The standoff is a 6v6 medium-sized map that was first introduced in Black Ops II, the central building is the major place for combat so be aware while entering the area. On the other hand, Duga is a new region in the Ural Mountains ready for Multi-Team modes. The map is surrounded by mountains and this is the best place to hone your skills.
